First time at Glenmachan?
What to Expect
Where do I go when I arrive?
Once you arrive onsite head up the main drive and pass Glenmachan Tower House Nursing Home on your left. Ahead is the main sanctuary building. The main entrance is located at the front (level access is available at the rear of the sanctuary).
Parking is free, just follow the one-way system in operation around the site, and during busy times we have a team that manage the car parking. In addition to the disabled/accessibility parking bays we also have a few priority bays for those with limited mobility.
Inside you will be greeted by one of our faithful and friendly Deacons, just let them know this is your first time with us and we will help you find your way to the main sanctuary, toilets and children’s area including the nursery. If you need anything throughout your visit—just ask one of our Deacons.
We’re here to help and make your visit comfortable.
How long is the service?
Our Sunday services last about 90 minutes. We start with praise and worship, communion (Sunday morning), prayer and listen to God’s Holy Word. If you want to listen to our previous sermons CLICK HERE.
What do you do for my children?
We run a Sunday School and a Youth Church during our Sunday morning service and knowing that it can be a big deal to drop your kids off in an unfamiliar place, you’re welcome to ask, prior to the service starting, to be shown round where your child would be going and meet with the Sunday School and Youth Team Leaders.
You will find that once your kids see the fun that’s in store for them, they won’t want to leave!
Sunday School (Pre-school – Year 7) Every Sunday, pre-school through to year 7 children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.
Youth Church (Year 8 and above) We have a dedicated youth team that will provide an age-appropriate environment where the youth will have their own service with a Bible lesson, and small group time.
For nursing mothers and pre-nursery school children we have a safe and comfortable nursery area where you can watch the service from.
We would love for you and your family to visit Glenmachan this Sunday. Join the fun and experience a world where your children meet Jesus on their level!
What do I wear?
Most people dress smart casually, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
Can I attend if I am....?
Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, a single parent, rich, poor, an addict, a sceptic, too old etc. Everyone is welcome at Glenmachan. So please come as you are, and we’ll see you on Sunday!
