Family Care in Cancer
- Family Care-In-Cancer is an inter-denominational Christian ministry which was formed in August 1998 in response to calls for help form families facing the trauma of cancer throughout Northern Ireland.
- Providing a please to safely speak with those who care, share your fears and anxieties with those who have experienced the trauma of cancer.
- Family Care-in-Cancer is a charity dedicated to assisting families touched by cancer. We aim to offer support, care and advice to anyone wherever and whenever we can.
‘Back in September 2019 the Glenmachan group of Family care in Cancer was formed. Our aim is to reach cancer patients in the East Belfast area by providing them practical help in dealing with their diagnosis. The group will also give the chance for the carers to come along and receive support as well, as often in a cancer diagnosis the family and carers get forgotten about.
We aim to show all those affected with cancer that they are never alone and through prayer and practical Christian help we will let them see that we have through Christ, an answer to many of their issues.
We meet on the 3rd Friday of each month in the Coffee Bar above the Minor Youth Halls at 12.00-13.30.
The invite to the group is extended to as many churches and groups in our catchment area and we are still seeking help for about 2-3 hours. Even if it is making tea and coffee your help will be valuable to the group!’
